Our story – a family tradition through generations
The story of Frama Apartments is not just a story about accommodation – it is a story about family, hard work, love for Istria, and the desire for every guest to feel at home. It all began in the 1980s, when grandfather Franjo, a hardworking and visionary man, decided to build a house in a quiet part of the village, then surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. His wish was simple – to create a warm place where the family would gather, where children’s laughter would echo, and where the Croatian way of life would be lived: peaceful, modest, but full of heart. During the 1990s, the house underwent its first extension. The family grew, new generations arrived, and more and more friends and guests gladly visited Funtana, experiencing what the hosts lived every day: the blend of the sea, the sun, the smell of pine trees, and genuine Croatian hospitality.
The years passed, and with them the world changed. But what remained the same is the family warmth and the love for every guest who steps into the courtyard. From 2020 until today the second generation of the family decided to renovate and modernize the house, with great respect for the tradition started by grandfather Franjo. The apartments have been carefully renovated and redesigned – with new, comfortable interiors,
yet preserving the old spirit: simplicity, warmth, and a homely atmosphere. Today, Frama Apartments represent a blend of past and present – the heritage of a family story and modern comfort adapted to the needs of today’s guest. Every detail in the apartments has its own story, and every terrace, tree, or stone in the courtyard reminds us of the years of dedicated work and love for this place.
